I listened to the show today, albeit in a broken up fashion between changing a tire, installing a new car seat and watching both Everton and the Texas Rangers lose. I took a lot away from the show because a few things resonated with me.
1. Being an "intermediate" taster can be very frustrating, and I think that's where I am. I can kind of describe some things well, but I haven't spent the time really making my palette better.
2. There's a big difference between judging and tasting beer. I'd pretty much equated the two until today, and I thought Nicole did a good job of making that distinction.
3. I'm going to try to do this Cicerone thing, I'm pretty certain. My biggest problem is that I've never worked in a bar, and I can't afford to become a bartender at this point in my life.
