It's that time a year again when we start thinking about our hops. Many retailers have already began to sell and ship their rhizomes. Depending on where you live it may be time to get yours on order. Here are a few links to get ya started.
FreshHopsMoreBeerNorthern BrewerI was successful in growing seven varieties last year and I plan on planting four new varieties this year. Who else is growing this year?

Thanks for the reminder. I just ordered two varieties from Freshops. My last year's crop was pretty much non-existant for a variety of reasons. Hope they produce this year. The new batch should help my chances of crop too.

I wish I could. It probably gets entirely too hot here.

Ya never know, we had several weeks in the 100's and mine still thrived. As long as you can provide lots of water there are many varieties that will do well.

May give it a try. I have no shade for them either. Especially if they need to be strung up so high.

All of mine are in direct/full sunlight without any shade at any point in the day. The are only a few varieties that require any shade.

if you live between 45 and 55 degrees north or south, and have summer sun, you will have happy hops

Thanks for the additional info BadRock. Who knows....Maybe I'm looking for an excuse not to do it.

Don't want to get too many irons in the fire.

Yeah, I'm like 32N, BTW.
