I love when beers finish at that final gravity Nate!!

Kegging up an American Brown ale with some Chinook for dry hops.

Made a pale ale today. Trying out some new hops, seeing what wonderful things may be.

Ended up going with the first Pale Ale option:

5.5lb Maris Otter
2.5lb 2-row (Rahr)
2lb Flaked Oats
1lb Wheat Malt (german)

1oz Zythos @ 20min
2oz Zythos @ 5min
1oz Azacca @ 0min
1oz Azacca @ dryhop
1oz El Dorado @ dryhop
1oz Zythos @ dryhop (maybe)

Wyeast 1968 (slurry)

Despite the grain bill, I only got 1.047 as the OG since I did some monkeying with how I milled it and did no-sparge. I tossed a gallon of water into the grain after and ran it out to see what was left, and I still got 1.030. I almost considered running out another batch of wort to make a second runnings thing with...but got distracted by LEDs.

Extract Pilsner and Gold (from Northern Brewer), Nelson Sauvin and Meridian hops (from NikoBrew), Omega Yeast Bring On Da Funk.
2 days into fermentation. Lots of tropical/pineapple flavor.
First brew since November. :jnj

How did that Omega Yeast turn out?

My favorite style right now. Going through a German Lager phase. So much so I turned a Rye-IPA into a lager last week when I brewed. Looking for a lot of Rye character (25% of the grain bill). Pilsner base, American hops (Cent/Cascade). WLP830 Yeast.
