Strong hallertau saison with Wyeast 3711. Yeast will be repitched into a second saison with Brett B. and oak for aging till the dog days of summer. Who doesn't like a funky saison in the heat?

I'm making a starter for tomorrow's marathon brew day. A buddy of mine and I are doing 5 5gallon batches. First we're doing an English IPA and a Southern Brown, then an American IPA and an APA, then we're taking the final runnings from those 4 mashes and making a 5th beer we're calling the Marathon Mongrel.

Gotta get some beer made for the 2010 competition season.

Heating the strike water for a Robust Porter (recipe from BCS). Raining outside, which always makes it fun...but a man has to brew!
