Getting that hop bursted blonde ale done tonight. Thanks again to bdawg. Then another variation of Firestone walkers mission street pale ale in the morning. Finishing hops will be Amarillo and cascade instead of centennial and cascade like the original.

I am getting my starter going for a 1.070 version of JZ's Chocolate Porter. I am going to do some experimentation with the process and final beer. I am going to boil the .5 lb of chocolate powder on the side in a flask of 1.070 wort and let that cool a bit. Then add it to the carboy as I am racking the wort into it.

Then I am going to bottle off some as a chocolate porter, chocolate hazelnut, chocolate coconut, chocolate espresso, and maybe chocolate vanilla. We will see how many things I feel like messing with.

I'm right in the middle of canning 17 quarts of starter wort. The downside of this is the 30-45 minute wait for cool down before opening the pressure cooker to put in the next batch of jars. First batch is cooling now.

I decided to boil the chocolate up separately in a flask and I ended up scorching a bit on the bottom. If anyone else has the same bright idea as me watch for that!

Recirc'ing the 47 degree pool water to chill the wort.
