Can somebody give me the O.G. and F.G. for the American stout? I forgot my copy at the cottage. Thanks.

For the recipe:
OG: 1.072
FG: 1.017
For the style:
OG:1.050-1.075
FG: 1.010-1.022

Well, I hit 1.076 and 1.021 off that recipe, hopefully that will be good enough. Thanks for the info.

You are at the upper limit for both, but they should balance each other just fine. The only possible place you may be off will be in bitterness as the hop utilization will be a little less at the higher gravities. If you were pushing the upper end of the bittering, that won't be a problem either.

I was shooting for about 70 IBU. I'm sipping carboy leftovers at the moment. It tastes pretty good for not being carbed. It seems kinda weak on the IBU for my target. But that may be from the roasty malt balance - the IBUs don't slap you in the teeth. Not too bad of a beer.
