Can a sour beer make you sick?

So I started my first sour brew about two weeks ago. It's the Bam Biere clone from the Jamil show... I grew up some 'bugs' from a bottle of the real beer and pitched with a Belgian ale yeast. I tried it last night while transferring and Im feeling kinda sick today with a raging sore throat... Can a beer such as this throw off anything that would cause you to get sick, being that there is bacterias and wild yeast, or did I just party too hard this weekend and wreck my throat? Haha

It is my understanding that nothing harmful can live in beer.

Strictly speaking this is not 100% true but it would be very unusual to be made sick by anything in your beer.

Thanks guys, I kinda figured as much but it seemed all too weird to be sick the next morning... However I think the sickness might be caused by a round of slap the bag wine... Haha thanks guys

Too many sour beers will give me gas so bad the wallpaper peels and the cat gets offended. Other than that, sour beers shouldn't cause any illness.

I brewed a sour-mashed Saison, from bacteria on the grain, not a pure culture, that gave somebody a ripping allergy attack.

how much of it did you "try" a gallon?
I doubt the beer content woudl have caused an issue, but the alcohol content mixed witha unnoticed minor infection might have left you witha sore thrat the next day
