Can I use the yeast from my blow off tube/airlock?

My last few batches have required that I use a blow off tube into a growler. If I make the growler and water sterile (with starsan) can I repitch this yeast in another beer?

Starsan is supposed to kill things. This might have an adverse effect on your yeasts' health. Better would be to put the blowoff tube into the growler of Starsan like you plan, but when things really get going, pull the blowoff tube out of the growler and let it spew into a clean and sanitized container. Let this continue just enough to collect yeast for a starter. Then replace the blowoff tube into the growler, and proceed as normal. You can then make a starter with your healthy, collected yeast. Heck, you could even put the end of the tube into a starter that's ready to go.
