Blending yeast?

I'm about to make a sweet potato ale and wanted to try a yeast blend on it... I planned to use 1332 northwest ale on the recipe but I have another vial of WLP530 in the fridge I wanna use up... Does anyone see any problems I could have doing this? Thanks!

Are you splitting the batch in half with each half getting a different yeast or adding both yeasts to the primary together? If you are adding both together than you will probably find that one strain will dominate over the other simply b/c it is faster reproducer and therefore impart more of its flavor and aroma characteristics into your finished product.
If you are going to split the batch, then you could always blend back some of the two together to see if you enjoy the combo or different ratios of them until you find what you like. I say go for it and post the results!

That sounds like a good idea!... I usually have to split my wort into two buckets anyways to avoid the mess... So you think I should blend like a third of the entire batch then bottle..., i was really worried about under pitching but with this idea I don't think I'll have that problem at all... 2 one liter starters of each and really I should end up with three different beers... I'll post the results! Thanks!
