Please help- yeast starter question

I wanted to get a jump on chilling my starter so I could decant, and being impatient, I stuck it in the freezer.
I checked on it and there was a good amount of ice crystals starting to form. Has my yeast been destroyed? How well can yeast survive approx 2 hours in a freezer?
Fuck beans.

If there was only a little bit of ice then I would say that you killed off some yeast. How much? I don't know. To be safe I would replace the yeast, if thats not possible then make a small starter like 500ML to wake up the yeast and get them active again. Don't heat them up to fast or cool them back down to fast they don't like it.

I let it get back to room temp on its own. Gave it a good swirling to re suspend everything and boiled a cup of water and a spoonful of malt extract. Within an hour I had about an inch or so of foam on top of the starter in a growler. Still good!
