In the last Zymurgy (Dark Side of Lagers), the author mentions aerating twice the rate you normally would for the bigger lagers. Ok, I get that. But then in the article, it says you may even consider aerating again the next day.
I know in a lager that yeast are most likely still going through propagation phase a day later but would you really want to aerate again and a day later? Or do you think they're getting at more yeast growth? If so, is pitching at the right rate going to negate this "next day aeration"?
