Continual Vibration Through Fermentation

Wed Jul 01, 2009 11:47 am

Has anybody tried continual vibrating the fermenter all the way through fermentation? Like when using a stir plate for a starter except with the fermenter. Doc, what would be a good way to set up a giant fermenter vibrator?

Weird...I am listening to the meltdown segment from 12-02-07 right now when they were talking to Vanna about the stripper pole.

I corresponded with Jamil about this a few years ago, I wanted to use infrasound. If I remember correctly, he said it was worth a try.

I have not tried it, but am interested in the results if you do.

You could modify one of those hard wood floor sanders that take the square pads. Might need to dial the vibration down a bit.

brandon, that was funny right there...

would this be similar to the italian brewer that had a giant set of headphones on his fermentor??? it might be the vibration from the music and not the music itself...just a thought.

somebody will need to post the picture of the fermentation dildo method...you just know some clown is going to try it

if you were fermenting in buckets a giant rubber band and one of these would work http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/photos ... /34923.gif
