cooling lager to 44F

If you can't get a lager down to 44F using a Wort chiller can you put it into a fridge without any harm to the beer an use the coldness of the fridge to cool it to the 44F an then pitch the yeast ?????

Yes you can do this. Some folks say they worry about infection, but if you feel your sanitation is pretty good, you can do it and pitch after it has cooled off.

the only thing i would worry about is the fridges fan picking something up while its recirculating the air around. just me though.
