So far i have brewed a light lager and a helles with this yeast. The light lager i kept at 50 for 2 weeks no diacetyl but does have a fair amount of sulfur. Ester profile is pretty clean focusing on the malt. I would agree that it is cleaner than 830 and floculates out pretty well. I should of let the beer rise in temp and let the sulfur gas off longer but this was my yeast building beer.
The helles is great! Fermented 50 and let it slowly rise to 55 through the second week of fermentation. No sulfur or diacetyl. The beer is very malt forward clean and nice rich and creamy mouthfeel. The beer tends to have a slightly sweet finish but that is my fault as I mashed to high 157-158. Right now I have a oktoberfest going with the third generation yeast. The yeast is very explosive right now and is ready for a big beer. I have one fermenting at 50 and the other one fermenting at 55-57. I will post the results here in another week or so.
