9-days after pitch; 1.014 on both batches; they taste a little rough now with some alcohol bite I think. Dry-hopping each with 2.5 oz of Amarillo now.

I have used those yeasts in a 50/50 blend but I WAY prefer 530 to 500.

I'm a 530 fan as well, but as :asshat:ery would have it, I now have a blend in both batches. Each 2/3 - 1/3. Hopefully this will mellow out over time...but at least its still fermenting. I just hit each carboy with 2.5 oz of Amarillos....
