Honestly when I first read the topic, it made me laugh. Good luck man, if it starts getting funky, try to put it away and forget about it for a long time.

If it makes you feel any better I did on purpose a 100% wheat pils and acid malt beer to age in a Funky barrel from Russian River. a bit over 2 months in and it is tasting great, if you are a fan of sours.
