I just picked up my first 14.8 CF chest freezer ($45 on Craig's List - woohoo!). I roughly figured I can put 8 kegs, and a couple of cases of bottles in there. Anybody else found an actual limit of cornies in a 14.8?

Now if Bub ever gets his buddies moving with the Brew Droid, I might be able to build the "mothership" - two stage serving and ferm temp control fridge.

Bub, any update?

Not in the last few days.... there is rumour that a major manufacturer may pick it up and make it more of a finished product and less of a kit...
We shall see. That was just stuff I overheard and it looks like the other company is still going forward with the prototype as scheduled, as far as I know there is not a finished prototype at this time. When I know more or hear more private and confidential talks I will relay them .

So in summary, it is still going as planned, perhaps a bit slower than we all hope, but it is still actively being worked.

The Accuracy is like 1 degree and .5 degree precision (I think)... actually check the other thread it says some shit about that...
You will be able to set the controller to whatever you want for the thresholds and offsets.

While it is fun to read of all the inventive things people do, I have to say that having a dedicated fridge and temp control is simply set-it-and-forget-it. Although, I check on it all the time. Here is a pic of my brew closet from a few months ago(i sent this pic to non-brewer relatives). Two of the beers I used at my wedding, and they turned out great. Sorry the pic is so big, but that is all I got. The temp control is worth every penny. I have the two stage, but find I only need the one stage for summer(ambient hot) or winter (ambient cold). Once the wort/beer gets to ferment temps, I find it doesn't swing very much - the fridge is a good insulator and 5 gallons of liquid has a large heat capacity.
