Yeah but that would be one hell of a death, you'd get high as hell for a while, then I don't know what would happen after that. Maybe your brain would melt. I don't really know.
Yeah I agree that it should be sterile. OxyClean and One-Step, and Hydrogen Peroxide all clean/sanitize(sort of sanitize) using oxygen, so I agree it would be tough for anything to live in there. You would have more problems with things living in your regulator.
