For the PacMan fans

Thu May 13, 2010 10:40 pm

As PacMan was a special selection yeast from Wyeast, it is not being produced now. So it is time to buy up what you can. Some places are out now. I know my LHBS is now out and can not get any more as are some of the big guys.
I was lucky enough to find a small retailer to order 1 more package, I can make some slants from, and one more brew.

Any way just a heads up

Just so you know the Pacman is a yearly limited release. No need to stock up now unless you don't want to wait a year for the next release.

Maybe there is something I am not getting here, but when I look at the archives of the Wyeast Private Collection releases it says the last time it was offered was December 2006. Is there some info that it will be available annually?

When I talked to Ed @ Brewmasterswarehouse.com a while back, he said his shop and a few others carry it all year round, though they did have to switch suppliers after the seasonal batches end. Not sure how that works but there are a few companies that will have it year round (and not just old stock).

Seems to me, that you take your chances, if you want this stain.
