Double Stout

Grist should include equal parts black malt, chocolate malt, 2 parts roast, 2 parts C150, 4 parts Golden Naked Oats, and the rest two-row barley. Use only UK hops to about 45 IBU and you should be in the ballpark.

This is a recipe from a great brewery in San Diego. Any one know what C150 is?

Crystal (or Caramel) 150. You can get it at Rebel Brewer. http://www.rebelbrewer.com/shoppingcart/products/Great-Western-Caramel-150-(by-the-pound).html . C150 is pretty rare in Home brew shops. Or (and I have never done this) you could roast up some Crystal 120 for a few mins n the oven...

Simpsons extra dark is rated at 155-165L, if that helps. Pretty common, too.
