Re: Octoberfest never fermented- need help

Thanks guys

Henning- that's what I was thinking, but I was afraid to bring it up that high, and then have to cool it again.

I've never done a starter, but a buddy has, and I could buy more yeast and try that, but I have to order online. I like the idea of using the wort as the starter though!

I'll try a day warmer (near 60), and if it takes off, try to start cooling slowly. If it doesn't, I'll order a yeast pack.

Thanks guys!

A couple hours @ 60 degrees has started some activity. I'm starting to slowly lower the temp 1 degree at a time every hour or so. It should be about 57 over night, and I'll check it in the AM.

Hopefully it keeps up, and turns out alright. At least something is happening!
