Nice thing about fermwraps in fridge is you can have two diferent carboys of beer fermenting at different temperatures.

I brew 10 gallon batches, 2 carboys. I just snake the fermwrap in an S shape, between the two carboys. Probe goes on one. I sometimes need to adjust the surface area to make sure the temps match up, but its been working well for me.

Pet supply shops will have a ceramic reptile heater that is like a light bulb. Heat from a light fixture with no light. Check it out http://www.amazon.com/Ceramic-Heat-Emitter-30-40-Gallon/dp/B0002AQCPU.
