I remember a discussion of this on another forum (I think www.hbd.org) a few years back. However the purpose at that time was to use a vibrator on a conical to help get the yeast to settle to the bottom of the cone rather than stick to the sides of the cone. At the time there were also comments about using the kind of vibrator that Nikki sells. One actually did tape one of those to his conical with good results ..... until his wife made him take it off.
