Let's talk menus guys! Who is cooking what, what would you recommend?

Here's mine!
Santa Fe Oktoberfest brined turkey
Patti Labelle's Mac and Cheese
Roasted Garlic IPA mashed taters
The standard Green Bean casserole

I'm thinking apple pie for desert. I just listened to Pax's Thanksgiving show where he talked about using liqour in the crust. Does anyone have a recipe for that or should I just modify an existing apple pie recipe? I was going to use a rum in the crust, how's it sound?

Sounds good... I also think a malt extract instead of at least part of the sugar in the filling may be quite good...

Just found this, looks amazing though I'll prolly leave out the raisins. I'm thinking of this, substitute rum for bourbon and use a mixture of belgian candy sugar and malt extract, because those are both awesome ideas.

Is this awesome? Y/N

Nothing finalized yet. I'm definitely doing a turkey breast brined in cranberry mead. A sweet potato pecan pie is high on the list of probables. I'll do some whole grain rolls that contain some amount of crushed munich or crystal malt. May also do a loaf or two of my french bread recipe (this recipe got me my first cooking job in a hotel 25 years ago :) ). Not sure which beers to crack open to go along with dinner. The other night I picked up a bottle labeled "Special Holiday Ale". This is a collaboration beer between Nogne Ø, Jolly Pumpkin, and Stone Brewing. Never tried it, but it sounds good.

I'm not hosting this year, so I won't be making anything too extravagant, or anything beer related (besides homebrew). I have a bit of a side business baking bread, so I'll be bringing that to all the dinners I go to.

From last year's Thanksgiving season... I think I baked 14 loaves over 1 week, and each one takes about a full 24 hours from prep to cooling. Only gonna be doing 7 this year I think... although I'm running out of time.
