Amarillo Infused Vodka Tonics

Sat Jun 04, 2011 5:07 pm

Seriously Fucking Good! After reading online in some forums I was discouraged that too much bitterness would be extracted from the hops. Alot of people talked about add in 2 oz leaf to 750ml which seems like way to much. I added 1/2 oz of amarillo hops to 750ml of absolut vodka. I let the vodka sit in a 2ltr flask for 7 hrs then I filtered through a britta filter. Awsome intense aroma and flavor with no bitterness or harshness. Just right on the rocks with slice of lime and some tonic water. Almost seems more british than a gin and tonic.
On Deck: Bier de Garde, Northern German Pils
In Fermenters: Homegrown Pale Ale
in keg: Octoberweizen, Dusseldorf Alt
