Maryland in the House

Thu May 29, 2008 7:26 am

Greetings All,

Been lurking on the forum and listening to the archives for about a year now. The radio is a hoot with a great cast of characters and special guests. Both the radio and the forum discussions have helped my brewing processes and soon will translate into better beer - I hope.

I started brewing two years ago when my wife and daughter, a couple of swell gals, - bought me a B3 setup - kettle, carboy, bottling bucket - for my 50th birthday. After six extract batches, went to all-grain and the madness continues.

I love commercial Belgians so I have been brewing mostly Belgians and I will continue to brew them until they stop pissing me off. The last two have been pretty good now that I have temp control.

I not sure of the BN age demographic but perhaps the BN Army can create an auxiliary Geezer Division for those of us who love to party and socialize but can no longer handle the front line “das Boot” assaults and/or staying up past 10pm. We could still serve the cause by removing the pants of the fallen and on holidays selling BN t-shirts outside the Safeway.

-Cheers to all

Welcome to the forum DBear. I think the Schuman Brothers and JP have got pant-removal covered, but they could probably use some backup during the busy holiday seasons

Welcome fellow Marylander!

I would also suggest you check into the local homebrew club, BURP, as well. Bunch of neat people, except the no pants bit...

Welcome to the insanity. I grew up in MD and just moved North Of The Border to York 2 years ago.

You in a club? I've been in the Cross Street Irregulars now for about 12 years.....if you're not in a local club you should join one. Maryland has lots, and they're all pretty tight...
