Hello from Western MA

Stopping by to say Hi- I have brewed off and on for 15-20 yrs- although until recently, only from ingredient kits (the canned type). I have made some ok beers, and some real crap.

However, recently, several of my buddies have begun brewing and quickly moved to all grain. After resisting for a year, I started up again. I must say that, aside from the end product, the PROCESS of all grain brewing for me is much more enjoyable.

I'm now also growing hops (12 plants now and probably adding more at some point) and trying to brew often to learn more. Also, to help us learn and enjoy, we have started a website (with the beginnings of a wiki). The more info that is out there- the better!

Thanks for a great resource, BN!

Going wioth the "in for a penny, in for a pound" way of thinking ...

Watch your Pennysaver or craigslist for a used chest freezer and then get an external temp controller. You can stick it in the garage (Yes, I know what I said) and hopefully your wife will forgive and forget.
