Hello from Santa Monica

hey everyone

i've been listening to lots of the archives to tighten up my skills. i've done a handful of extract brews, currently bottle-conditioning a german hefe. i started with my ex years ago. she's gone but i've still got my homebrew. i live in santa monica and am looking for some local homebrewers to shoot the hops with.. i spend a lot of time at the ye olde kings head pub, but lately since i've been homebrewing again i've been going to "the library ale house" and "the father's office" for their wide selection of nifty brews. god, listen to me.. typical LA.. three sentences in and i'm name-dropping.. i gotta move.

Hi man, welcome!

Speaking of name dropping, I worked for a month in Santa Monica and ate almost every lunch at either the Ocean Park Cafe, that Subway or Taco place right near there, or Teddy's Cafe (I think over on Pico). I really miss Ocean Park Cafe.

Chad,

I live up in Studio City and am a member of the Maltose Falcons in Woodland Hills. Over in Culver City, there's Pacific Gravity so you're pretty much surrounded by homebrewers!

The Falcons brew at least once a month on our barrel sized all grain system for everyone to join in with and the meetings are slight lunacy with lots of good beer involved.
