Hi all -- Happy 4th of July **lifts mug** :D

I am new to the board, and hail from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Been lurking here for a couple weeks, and decided to jump into the community.

Cheers!

Can we accept a welcome from a pseudo-Brit on our holy day of gun shootin and BBQ?

(PS - this is standard fare for around here)

I'm confused. Canadian's wishing American's a happy Fourth?

Thanks... but don't be thinkin' I'm going to acknowledge Canada Day, whenever that is.

Oh, and welcome!

Pseudo-Brit? Never been called that before! :D

Actually, before moving to Calgary, I lived in Fort Collins -- so I am pretty much familiar with the 'standard fare' around there.

I sure miss the micros and brewpubs in FC and Boulder.....

Even if that asshat Mallard won't, I'll wish you a Happy Canada Day even if it is 5 days late.

Welcome to the forum and all the fun and festivities. As you may have noticed, we even allow some great brewing info slip in here once in a while.

Was Canada Day when the Brits said "Hello chaps, do you still want to be in our empire?" and Canada said "no thanks, eh", and Britain said, "ok then you're a free country, will you stick around for a cup o tea?"

At least thats how I imagine it, nice and polite!

Cool about living here, where did you live? I'm at Shields and Harmony...

You forgot to say, "Pip, pip! Cheerio!" and it's not a "cup of tea" it's a "spot of tea".

And you also forgot about the ending to the Canadian response, "No thanks, eh... you hosers."
