I have been listening on podcast for a few months now and have been brewing since September last year. There isn't too much that passes for good beer around here so I am brewing my own. The BN has been a great source of info and it is like being a part of the largest homebrew club in the world.
I have been learning a lot and have so much more to go. I have been brewing extract and did my first mini-mash on my last batch. It came out like Brewcaster J's first one so I know I'm in good company... I can't wait to try the next one...

Welcome mate! and enjoy your stay.
And don't worry, a batch or two from now and you'll be better that Brewcaster J...

Thanks guys!
My mini-mash came out a bit thin and weak but I think I know what happened. I think my temp came out too low and I didn't check my gravity until after the boil so I made lite beer (supposed to be Pale Ale). It is a bit better now after a little bottle conditioning. It is hot here so it will be a good lawnmower beer. I'm already planning the next batch. It was only my 4th and I'm still having fun with it.

So you left a gallon of star san in the fermenter?
Not quite THAT bad!

Noooo. Not quite that bad. I can tell the difference between 1 gallon of StarSan and and empty fermenter. The OG was really low so I was bringing it weak.

Welcome!
Remember,
JC = Justin Crossley.
JP = Jason Petros <> Jon Plise <> John Palmer.
JZ = Pope.
Or something like that. Ask Lufah.
