Hello from VT

Sun May 20, 2007 7:12 pm

Currently own a grocery store in VT and am in the early stages of owning a brew pub a well.

I would like to purchase a new "sculpture" and start another location. Not sure which one to go with, been reading as much as I could about the attributes of the B2050 vs Sabco or PICO. Would love to get more input from the "pros".

Originally from MD, played a little ball at College Park and feel home seeing all the members from down there.

Baltos. Never been to the area but it sounds great about you opening up a microbrew. That's all I gotta say. Good luck and keep us posted. Prost!

a 2050 will only make 1 half barrel keg of beer per batch... that is a pretty small system for commercial.

If you carried only one or two house brews on tap supplemented with a variety of commercial brews you might get away with a smaller system. I personally only know one guy making a living brewing and he uses a 10 barrel system. good luck

Don't forget about The Dogfish Head story. It's pretty amazing.

Not sure where you are in VT, but, check out Jasper Murdock's.
It's a really small operation that brews on premise and serves it to the guests staying at the Inn.

10 barrel is significantly larger than a 20 gal... (1/2 bbl)

I should have been more clear. I was referring to how a small brewery, such as Jasper Murdock's, can survive.

If he is looking to brew small batches, whether it be 20 gallons or 20 barrels. I would look into talking with these people and get some thoughts and Idea's.

Maybe B3 can work with him on a design that will fit his brewing needs.
