Greetings! I've only been brewing for about 15 months. Over that time the BN has been a great resource and, for most of the time, filled the role of a local brew club for me.

I started brewing about 16 months ago. And I was and remain an extract brewer, though I am slowly acquiring the equipment to step up to all grain this summer.

I started brewing in Naples, Italy. I arrived in Naples stating that "I hate beer" ... I know, blasphemy... But, up until that point all I had consisted of mass produced American light lager or a limited selection of unbalanced, over hopped American craft brews.

On a family trip to Bavaria, Germany I re-discovered beer. Specifically, I discovered dunkleweizen. Upon returning to Italy I was telling everyone about the great beer that I had in Germany and complaining about not being able to find it locally. One of my buddies, Nomadic 4x4, suggested that I try brewing my own. With his assitance and a mail-order extract kit I brewed my own dunkleweizen. I was so happy with the results that I jumped in to the hobby and craft brew in general.

Many thanks to the German's for helping me re-discover beer, Nomadic 4x4 for helping me to realize I could make this stuff too, and the BN for contant inspiration to brew better and try things I may not have otherwise. To you I raise my pint glass, thank you and CHEERS!

Welcome to the TBN lunatic asylum! We are all nuts, but we are friendly and all are pretty much obsessed with this hobby. We may take some getting used to, but we won't bite (with the possible exception of Mrs H, so keep your hand out of the cage  ).

Not quite in PG; we're just over the line in Charles.

You have to drop by for a homebrew if your ever back in town.
