And I'm now in the BN Army. I've been an active BN listener for 3+ years, the only good excuse I have for why it took so long for me to join these ranks is... laziness? Anyway, I'm here now and I look forward to thrusting myself into this community with full engorgement... engagement.

For those interested, I recently started a blog where one of the main focuses is testing commonly accepted brewing practices and ideas, like whether kettle trub in the fermentor has a negative impact or the difference between a short and long boil. I also do stupid shit like test whether Jim Koch's yeast + yogurt method for not getting drunk works (it didn't for me).

Cheers!

Welcome aboard! Glad you finally decided to drop da' bomb and join us here. Love the idea of your blog and have been wondering about Koch's statement. I will have to try it out and see if it works, but in all good beer reality why would I drink if I didn't catch a buzz?

Exaaactly... though I am thinking about buying a breathalyzer and repeating the exBEERiment in a more... controlled... fashion.

Hey Brulosopher you should listen to the last episode of the Perfect Pour, they had a sexy homebrewer as a guest and his comment on that whole thing was hilarious!

He said, "I think he's full of it, he's full of nutmeg and cinnamon like his beers" referring to Jim Koch and Samuel Adams beers. Funny stuff.

I just saw you were the guest. I've actually never listened to that show, downloading the latest episode to my phone now.

Cheers!
