New from Michigan

Wed Dec 19, 2012 8:24 am

Hey all, My name is Mitch, from Ann Arbor area in MI. Been a home brewer for about 2 years now... 1st year really sucked, but I discovered the BN around Xmas last year. Since, I have successfully moved to all grain and the quality of of my beers has improved drastically. I am working my way through the archives and listened to all of JZ's style shows, and am into July, 2007 of the session. Joined the forum recently, and though my posts are infrequent so far, the info on here has been great.

Welcome!

My nephew is in his first year at UM graduate school. I hope you're already planning for the National Homebrewers Conference in Grand Rapids in 2014. I'll be there!!!

I've been thinking about going back for NHC. Not sure how I feel about it yet. Almost all of my small circle of friends lives within 20 minutes of Grand Rapids ... I grew up on the lakeshore, just south of Holland. Haven't been back to the city for a few years now. NHC sounds fun, but it also sounds like a crapload of people in a huge city that already has a crapload of people. Let's just say I live in Montana for some good reasons. Not dealing well with large groups of people is one of them. I figure I've got until just before tickets go on sale to make up my mind, when is that anyways?
