Hi,

I live in the Columbia Basin, near the Yakima Valley, just east about 20 minutes from Hop Farms. We have a couple decent beer makers in the Basin, but it is amazing how Beer Illiterate Yakima really is.

I love to brew my own - www.reedbrewing.com & http://www.facebook.com/ReedBrewing

I dig the shows!

Welcome! I checked out your blog, and see you were "waiting for the trucks to come... down at the delta". I am an ex-TCer/hoedown frequenter as well. Its good to see the Small references are still alive, and winning awards.

I assume you mean Covert...

You know, you don't even have to be covert. A guy I work with commutes from Moxee, which is basically a gas station surrounded by a bunch of hop fields. He says during harvest you can simply drive around and pick up the 20ft vines that have fallen off the trucks on their way from the field to be processed. I missed out this past harvest, but I will surely do that this coming year. Only problem with that is who knows what you are getting.
