Hello from Vermont

Fri Sep 23, 2011 5:55 am

Hey, started listening to you guys on my commute. Good stuff here. I've been a homebrewer for 18 years. All grain brewing. Mostly ales, but dabble in lagers.

For the last 10 years, I had hit a plateau with the homebrewing efforts. I had become content and took a non-precise approach to brewing. I always produced good beer. Reading Gordon Strong's book & listening to the brew network, it's sparked a new drive to tighten my brewing procedures, taking better notes, and doing a better job at analyzing/tasting the beer.

Keep it going

Ahhhhh....analyzing and tasting beer. Is there anything better than drinking your hard earned efforts? Glad to hear you are getting into it again with a new vigor. What a great hobby to be obsessed with! Welcome to the fun!

Welcome Nitrotron! What part of VT? I grew up in Southern VT ( Windsor).

Actually heading up to a family reunion this weekend in Hardwick and planning on stopping by the Alchemist Cannery to get me a case of Heady Topper. Hopefully they still have some by the time I get there.
