I've been listing to the podcasts since summer '05. Serious props to Justin and his unrelenting commitment to keeping this rolling! Big props also, to the rest of the brewcasters and guests that help make it what it is--a mother f*ckin' kick ass source of beer/home brewing related information!
My brewing began in 1997 while in Williamsport, PA for a year. When I moved back to Eugene, Oregon, I continued extract brewing. Once settling in Portland, I started doing all grain, then boiling in 15 gallon kegs. I've had moderate success in a few local Portland homebrew competitions as well. In 2002, our outdoor wedding reception featured only homebrew from myself and two close friends. 30 gallons of homebrew that made a positive impression on all our friends and family!
Took a bit of a brewing hiatus while adjusting to fatherhood and I'm back in the saddle, or off the wagon or whatever. Did a 10 gallon batch of JZ's Scottish 70 last week. Two weeks earlier, I did a 5 gallon Euro Pils and 5 gallon Barley wine. My kegorator will have the Pils and Scottish on tap in a few weeks.
But enough about me, I just wanted to pop in and introduce myself.
Prost,
Mike
