01-08-06 Show with Aaron Dorsey

Brewcasters,
I really liked the show Sunday and also would like say way to go on the new site. I was however somewhat disappointed in the amount of discussion regarding Aaron Dorsey's experience @ UCD extention program. I only wish that I had been able to listen live and call in to ask questions that I would have asked Aaron. I am considering the program after I finish up my B.S. in Biology here at HSU. If Aaron or any other UCD alumni could chime in that would be great. I would like to know if they cover things on the business side of brewing, ie permits and licensing with ATF and ABC, business planning. The things that I took from the show regarding UCD were:

1) When Aaron attended the tuition was ~ $10K (now $13K)
2) Mon-Thurs brewing topics , Fri - related engineering
3) Lager yeast can ferment Raffinose and Ale yeast cannot

Regardless I still enjoyed the show

Cheers,

Actually, if I remeber correctly, Aron mentioned that there was big part of the program dedicated to the business of brewing. I'll pass the question along to him though and see if he will post here in some more detail.
