Question for Jamil: 10 min bittering hop

Jamil,

When you say you add all your hops at the 10 minute mark, as a single addition, does that mean that you also don't do a flameout hop addition? I.e, does the aroma carry over from the large 10 minute addition? Or would you do a regular flameout addition also?

well I am not Jamil (much thinner and better looking), but I believe its the bittering addition that you are inquiring about. I toss my bittering hops in at 20 minutes (when adding late) and then keep the flavor(10-15) and a flame out addittion(0). There are so many variations to hop scheduling though. You could also FWH what you normally would do with the aroma hops, 20 minute Bittering and do a flame out.
