No, I can't possibly afford as little as $2.00 a month.

I am NOT a subscriber since I don't trust PayPal, or any other server, with a real credit card number (mine was stolen once already, pain in the a$$ to clear up).

BUT I do regularly make one-time donations using a one-time-use virtual credit card number issued by my credit card bank. I am pleased to report that I am ahead of the $2.00/month donation rate.

I also order from MoreBeer and NB, I have a subscription to BYO through the site and I have clicked to read about personalized pint glasses more often than I care to.

So, does that make me a civilian contractor for the BN Army?[/b]

Granted, while I am kidding a little, it doesn't make someone a bad person because they can't contribute so let's try to keep the rhetoric down. Especially if they are buying products of the site as their way of contributing.

Dude, ordering from the store is a donation. It's support, and I think that support is the reason the donation page exists in the first place. You've heard J say it before. If everyone who benefited from the existence of this community donated or purchased goods through the store, TheBN would thrive and we'd all be a lot better off for it. You shouldn't feel bad in the slightest Brewbum. You are as much part of this thing as anyone here, and clearly more than some.

Thanks, I was just expressing how I am sure others that aren't big participators may feel. This has come up before and J always says give what you can if you can. I was trying to speak from the unheard for fear of retribution or exile. I don't have a problem with donation threads or drumming for money, just have to be careful how you ask for it as to not offend the people that can't give for one reason or another. Suggest ways they can contribute without actually writing a check for example, as has been done. Clicking those ads that rhyme with froggle are a great example and if done regularly will add up to more than the minimum $2 donation per month.

Everyone should just do what they can to support these guys. Whether it is being an fat, lazy asshat on the air, creating great mixes, contributing in the forum or chat, suggesting topics, clicking ads, buying magazines, buying clothes, promoting them in your blogs, telling your friends, buying things from sponsors and mentioning it in the comments, etc. All these things will either give them money directly or indirectly and will improve the BN.

So donate, whether it is money or time, directly or indirectly, and J will be out of ramen and into Mac and cheese in no time.

That's funny, I always click on the glass links.

Can't we just auction off Sully's Vespa? I mean I know it doesn't come in a can...

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.
