I was watching a show on Discovery last week where they were showing the importance of RADAR developed during WW2. It would appear that MIT (the one in seppo land) was the place to be RADAR wise for the skinny on R&D.

Anyway whilst I was watching I heard the term "RAT PAD" and I thought (from my semi conscious state) that Geist & ShaunO were somehow involved with this fantastic 20th century invention.

When I was laying fully awake (technical stuff freaks me out) I realised that there involvement (if any) was probably not as much as I thought, the real term was "Rad Lab".

That's classified, I really can't speak about the Rat Pad's involvement.

Apaprently they do use a couple pieces of hardware in wall penetrating impulse radar (kinda sounds like something JP or Justin would do doesn't it?). RAT= Radar Array Testbed
PAD= PulsON Application Demonstrator

This is all just from the IEEE website and some abstract I found...

Great...now I've stopped talking about the real deal RATPAD and some crap that creates 2-dimensional images of moving targets (ie-know where someone is behind a wall).

Back to the beer...and the rat pad!
