I've been working with computers for twenty years, but I've never had a primary harddrive go down like on Sunday night (the 2006 Conical Christmas Give-away).

Some may have noticed I bailed about an hour into the show... here's a shot of my daughter Annie and I frantically swapping drives (recovered all data, but drive went in the trash in the end). Thought you guys would get a kick out it.

I have actually never crashed a hard drive...but the CPU went out in this machine and pissed me off for about 2 weeks.

Oh, and don't just throw the drive away. The platters make great wind chimes.
