I have to tell you, it has not been my week. Yesterday me and the Mrs were off to Minot for brewing supplies among other things. Milt had me stop by Menards for a few things and we did a little Christmas shopping. We got a late start anyway so we were kind of late heading for home. We were about ten miles from town when we popped up over a rise and plowed into a herd of deer on the road. Nobody was hurt but we killed three deer and I am pretty sure totaled the truck. It was after midnight before we got everything took care of and got to bed so I am a little bit tired today. So now I am off to the body shop to find out the damages for sure. I am pretty sure I will be shopping for a different truck which will mean selling off some beans I was holding onto for a better price. Like I said it has not been my week.
The good news is I now have a good stock of brewing supplies. I picked up two sacks each of domestic 2 row and maris otter as well as a variety of specialty grains for the next five recipes we will be brewing. I also got a supply of yeast, a new hydrometer, eight more buckets with lids and enough tubing to make blow off tubes. I got a few other odds and ends but left there with a much lighter wallet. We should be in the brewing business again soon.
