R.I.P. Pierre Celis

Sun Apr 10, 2011 12:40 pm

I just found out that Pierre Celis passed away yesterday. He was not only a great brewer but a great gentleman as well. I was fortunate to meet him at GABF a few years ago. He will be sorely missed by the beer community.

I've had the opportunity to drink several of the beers he re-introduced to the brewing world at the Michigan Brewing Company. We have lost a giant in the brewing world.

Strange... I had a hankering for some Celis White yesterday and bought a case. I haven't had it in probably 6-7 years.
