Not sure if this has been posted yet, but it's an interesting perspective on home-distilling, with some apt comparisons with homebrewing:

Very well done video. I have that book and it is quite informative in regards to how to "shine"...not that I would ever do that.

I've heard of guys "freeze distilling" their cider to make an applejack type drink. I've also heard it was pretty good.

Are there any movements to legalize this? I doubt it will happen anytime soon, but I'd be interested in what's being done.

What keeps you in AL? I go there for work every couple years and must leave every weekend. Of course, work is in Montgomery...
