Easy Cider

My friend and I had an idea for easily brewing some cider. We bought some 1 gallon jugs of all-organic apple juice (pasteurized, but no preservatives).

We wanted to just throw in some yeast and let it ferment right in the jug it came in. Will this work? Do we need to add anything to the juice
mix?

The apple juice seems to be VERY opaque and
cloudy. Is that how the juice is supposed to look and
does it clairify out?

It'll work, though I would drink about a quarter of it first, if it were me. Otherwise, you'll make a volcano. Don't forget to aerate the juice before pitching - just shake the crap out of it for 5 minutes. If you have any yeast nutrient, a pinch of that would help, too. It probably won't clear, but it will still taste good.
