Sorry to say it, but if you entered data using the web form April 27-30, it didn't get saved. I accidentally broke the link to the database while entering stats that had been emailed to me. Damn thing didn't throw an error, it just discarded new entries, so it took me a few days to notice.

So if it's not too much trouble, head back to the new-improved Water Entry Page. It will now calculate Residual alkalinity and either total alkalinity or bicarbonates.

You can unstick this now if you want. I've put the link in my sig.

Your web site appears to be down. Are you putting the results people send you there? Are the tests giving the same type of info that is in the Pappazian book for famous brewing cities?

Well, it was up yesterday. Sorry, folks. I can't even get into the control panel right now. I'll get on it and hopefully get it back up.

Edit: as you can see, even my avatar is down. If it re-appears in this post, the site is probably up.

It's back. I didn't even do anything; by the time I checked this morning it was up. Must have been a problem at the host.

Your list doesn't include alpha emitters. What gives? Just kidding. I just worry about my yeast looking like 3 headed frogs, or worse, evolving to something that can crawl out of my fermenter and into my bed....

Interesting that the measurement are quite different from year to year. Anyone know which components are most favorable? I suppose it depends on strain and beer style.
