Christmas and New Years. We'll get a lot of reruns until after the holidays.

Typically just bad reality tv and christmas specials run during the christmas/new years break.

I assume it will return after that as well.

I'd guess it was Discovery that coordinated the Blue Moon ad with the show. I seriously doubt it was up to anyone intimately involved with the content of the show.

I must share this: As Sam was walking into the Peruvian market to get ingredients for Chicha I hear my brother's band start playing. I (and he) had no idea it was going to be part of the program. He knew his band hooked up with BMI to shop their music around, but didn't know anything about Brewmasters. The world got pretty small for me at that moment...there I am, minding my own business, watching a TV show based on my favorite hobby and then... I hear my brother and his band, originally from Iowa, providing ambiance for a trip to a market in Peru to make corn beer.

I actually wrote sam about it, and in about an hour he responded:
Woah. Very cool. Lotta good karma around that confluence of awesomeness. Thanks for sharing. Sam

I thought that was really nice. It takes a down-to-earth person to do that these days. I have no hate for the man, the beer, or the show.

Most likely Sam had to dump another batch of beer, so there was no show to tape. :o

It would seem like they should be doing a basic forced fermentation to see how each batch should finish. I am surprised that such a large brewery could have such QA issues. Even with Sam brewing uncommon beers with less than familiar ingredients, I would assume a test batch is brewed to see if the beer can be fermented to its intended FG or some analysis would be done on the Carbohydrate composition so the brewers would know if the sugars are fully fermentable or not...

It amazes me how much people like to talk shit about Sam and Dogfish.

I sent Sam a Twitter message about the show and got a very nice response back. I am a firm believer in the show and support any craft brewing show/product etc. Even though I am not the biggest supporter of DogfishHead's line of beers.

The shows were great. 99% of us would kill to do what he gets to do.
Is there only 5 episodes?

1 very minor issue I had is the sequence of the episodes. I would suggest watching episodes 3-4-1-2-5..in that order. I've never had Dogfish beer so I'm not a fanboy. But must admit the show was great TV.
