Sounds like what my boss told me when a full timer quit and the decided not to replace him/her and told me we'd be splitting their pay and I got a quarter and hour raise.

I've spent a lot of money with N.B. over the last few years & I'm really noticing the overall hike in price across the board since they dropped the flat-rate shipping. Their explanation on the website is full of shit. I just bought some corny keg adapters/repair parts - all small items that could be shipped for less than their old flat rate. $10.24 in shipping alone, for a handful of parts that could fit in a tiny USPS flat rate box. Passing on savings my ass. Something's going on over there.

I wish everybody would just charge actual shipping costs and be smart about it. If your getting a deal on shipping you're probably paying for it on the product.
It irks me that the Brewers Association ships a book priority mail instead of media mail. Save me a buck or two will ya?
As for Northern Brewer it looks like they grew too much too fast. I hope they right the ship because I enjoy shopping the Milwaukee store and appreciate their support of the BN.
Maybe they could send out a few less catalogs to save money. They all seem to be about the same and come very frequently.
Get your shit together NB!

Or do what Niko does and get as much as you can in the flat rate mailer.

The only way I see any of those guys getting drafted as brewcasters would be if Justin and NB for some reason ended their sponsorship agreement. They are still sponsoring the BN, right?

Sucks though. Otherwise it does seem like a natural fit to have them pick up where they left off over here. Assuming NB was even ok with it, Justin would still have to come up with a new business model to fund video production, and somehow convince all those guys to work for beer. They've got a ready audience, but paid programming probably wouldn't fly.

BTW, all of you have pre ordered your Home Brew-U videos right? Suport that shit!!

I don't think that's really the issue or the consideration. What I'm seeing is small changes on the customer side, which usually means bigger internal changes. I'm also seeing some key players deciding to step out quietly. Again, pointing towards bigger internal changes. Hard to say where this one's going to land. I do know a lot of the current going-ons have changed my order next month for the new keezer's Co2 system to another vendor.
