Recent eBay Beer Sales Changes

Tue Jul 31, 2012 11:44 am

Hey Fellow BNer's-

I have three bottles of Cantillon sitting in my fridge I no longer want to drink. I bought them from a shop in Athens, GA, a few years back. I have 2 Lou Pepe's and a Cuvee des Champs gueze.

In the past, eBay was an outlet for these beers, but it looks like their policies have recently changed (or have they?) i've never sold beer or eBay or anywhere else for that matter Up until earlier this year, you could sell beer on eBay as "collectible bottles". The buyer pays for the bottle and the beer was a bonus, wink, wink.

I don't want to get involved in a trade through BA or RateBeer, since I don't really want more rare beer and that seems like a giant hassle. Not looking to sell them for huge dollars, I just recognize that there are people out there who can't get Cantillon and I have more than I need...

I'm not looking to sell them here, just for looking guidance. Thanks!

Used to be I could sell them for a fair price on eBay, but it looks like their policies have recently changed (or have they?) Up until earlier this year, you could sell beer on eBay as "collectible bottles". They pay for the bottle and the beer was a bonus, wink, wink.

My advice to you would be to stop buying beer you don't intend to drink or share with friends. You may recognize that there are people out there who can't get Cantillon, but what you are not recognizing is that you are part of the reason why that is happening.
